The Greater Seattle Dietetic Association is a Seattle-based, volunteer-run, non-profit of registered dietitians, dietetic techs, and dietetic students and interns that is an affiliate of the Washington State Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics as well as the national Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
Vision: To foster a diverse and collaborative community of food and nutrition leaders.
Mission: To connect and empower registered dietitian nutritionists, dietetic technicians, and dietetic students to be the food and nutrition experts of the Greater Seattle area.

Continuing Education Opportunities and Dynamic Yearly Programming
We offer monthly CE opportunities that are FREE to members. These include topical webinars, cooking demos, journal clubs and more! Plus, we throw in person networking events to help you connect with other RDs and nutrition professionals in your area.

Newsletter
We send out a bi-monthly newsletter with news, tips for dietitians, a recipe and updates. Our newsletters are a way for you to get to know who works on the GSDA board, learn of upcoming CE, networking, and volunteer events as well as info about legislation concerning our profession.
GSDA Blog
Our dynamic blog right here on our website features programming, updates, nutrition information, and even recipes from our members. Please visit it often as we strive to post 1-2x per month.
Volunteering
Volunteer events provide opportunities for dietitians to get recognized in the community, to network and to have fun! Past events include walking in the Heart Walk, Diabetes Walk, and the Seattle Marathon. Additionally, members have cooked a meal at Ronald McDonald House, participated in the KCTS pledge drive, helped Habitat for Humanity. Events are advertised via our newsletter, our Facebook page and our Instagram page.
Find a Nutritionist
Do you want to receive referrals? Perhaps grow a private practice? Do you need low cost marketing opportunities? Our Find a Nutritionist directory can help you acquire clients. It is a great, free way for you to advertise your specialty and practice to other dietitians and the public.
